FEATURES & UPDATES
Workflows
We have been working on defining clear habitual workflows that dictate how the product should be used in order to achieve the best outcomes. This includes critical thinking, ideation, and prototyping around collecting ideas, running campaigns, processing ideas, moving ideas through stages, evaluating ideas, making decisions on ideas, requesting resources, and more. During this release we will be delivering the following to make managing current workflows easier:
• Display and Filter by Evaluation Status
• We have created a visual display of the evaluation status (has been evaluated) for ideas/projects.
You’ll be able to filter by evaluation status (has been evaluated) for ideas/project in the admin area, analytics, and portfolio/evaluation setup. We’ll also include evaluation status as part of the project.csv export file.

Focus on Forces
Forces are the glue that connects a company’s innovation strategy across their entire company. Forces communicate the topics and trends a company is interested in and gives employees a chance to find where the company's interests and their own interest overlap. We believe this is where employee engagement will thrive -- by showing users the latest information about the forces they are interested in and giving them a chance to contribute in multiple ways. In order to build this out to its full potential we will need to extend development into the next release, but we will lay the foundation now by addressing the items below:
- Perspectives UI to Focus on Forces
- Adding the ability to follow a Force
Notifications
Right now, our notifications system acts as a global activity tracker. This can lead to overactive and unusable notification feeds. We will re- tool notifications to be a critical part of our workflows by keeping users informed when their ideas/projects reach critical milestones in a workflow, aware of key actions they need to take as part of a workflow, and stay up-to-date on the latest information they are interested in.
- Notifications vs. Activity
- We will make updates to how we currently track activity and notifications. We will lay the groundwork for rolling out better notifications in future releases.
Quicker to Add New Ideas
- Simplifying and reducing the number of idea creation steps
- Making the call-to-action for adding a new idea more persistent/
consistent throughout the platform
Group Permissions
We have finished our work on Group Permissions. Previously, managing user access to content is a 1-to-1 task which is time consuming. We have added a new “Groups” tab to the admin area. This will allow you to create and manage groups of users. From any piece of content (idea, project, map, portfolio, etc.) admins will be able to add/ remove an entire group of users in addition to single users. This will make managing content access for large companies easier for everyone.
